The Mentoring Program

To establish student-to-student relationships to guide, support and help students in their development throughout the Health Care Administration program.

 

The Mentoring Board

To help facilitate communication between Mentor and Mentees and help strengthen their relationships throughout the year.

 

What we do throughout the year:

• Match up process- Once in the Fall and once in the Spring

• Bi-weekly meetings or based on workload

• Initial Mentor/ Mentee meeting and training session

• Email reminders sent to Mentors to encourage communication

• Keep an accurate count of those in the Mentoring Program

 

 

Mentors     

Preferred Characteristics:

     Accepted into the program and holds at least a 2.75 GPA

     Approachable and friendly

     Involved in ACHCA

     Experience in the HCAD program

     Experience in the field

     Attend one volunteer and social event with your mentee per semester

 

 

Mentees    

Preferred Characteristics:

     Wants to take advantage of having a mentor

     Needs guidance to help guide them through the program and ACHCA

     Attend one volunteer and social event with your mentor per semester

     Excited about the program!
